Eighth District City Councilman, Nathan Field and the Trolley Square (DACA) Community Association President, Lisa Johnson led the project to change dirty, graffiti covered utility boxes into works of art. A “Call to Artists” in March 2022, resulted in more than 130 submitted designs. The 18 murals were completed in June beautifying the streetscape throughout the neighborhood.

We are grateful to the City of Wilmington’s Director of Cultural Affairs, Tina Betz and Margaret Winslow and Molly Giordano of the Delaware Art Museum as key advisors providing support and guidance. Generous financial support from Capano Real Estate, Tsionas Management, and Incyte Corporation made the project possible.
